We would like to attend a football game in Quito on December 15-18 or 27. Anyone know if there are any games scheduled then, and if so, where/when and how to get tickets? The main Quito team seems to be the Sociedad Deportivo Quito, but I couldn't find their schedule on their website (perhaps due to my inability to read Spanish). Thanks for any help...

Not so sure, Wlady. The second stage ends in October, then they go on to the Liguilla Final, which lasts 10 weeks. Last year ended mid-December. If you get lucky and there is a game on those dates it will be the end of the finals. They won't put out the schedule though until second week of October when the second stage finishes, and they know which teams will be playing in the finals.
The liguilla last less than 10 weeks.. some games are played on wednesday to short time.. though you are right if they are lucky they could watch one of the last games... may be!

The final round schedule is finally out and the last games are Sunday, December 16. Three Quito teams are in the 6-team final, but only one is playing at home on the final date. Deportivo Quito will play Cuenca in the Estadio Olimpico the 16th. If they are playing for a shot at first place or berth in the SA Cup, should be a sellout, but scalpers are usually plentiful.

You are incredibly helpful, Sundown. It turns out all 12 of us will arrive in Quito on the 15th, so this schedule is perfect. I have a few more questions:
- Do you know what time they will play on the 16th?
- Do you know how we can get tickets in advance -- either on the internet or through an agent (our hotel? you?) in Ecuador? I don't speak/read Spanish, but some of our party does.
- Where would be a good place for us to sit? We are 3 families, with kids between the ages of 6 and 10. The kids all play soccer, so this will be a highlight of our trip.
Thanks again!
