Hi,
A friend of mine just told me you need a special permit for travelling to the Galapagos.
Is this true (?) - and if so, can you apply on-line in advance of your trip?

All best,
Erik

You will pay the Galapagos park fee and immigration fee upon arrival, totaling $110.

Hi,
Thanks for a quick answer!
So this means I do not need to do anything (permitwise) until arrival in Galapagos?

No, you get it on arrival at the airport on the island. Nothing needed in advance

The INGALA transit control card, which is $10 is paid at the airport in Quito or Guayaquil, before check in. And the national park fee, which is $100 is paid at the airports in Galapagos Islands.

As far as I know you have to fill out a form for the ingala - new regulation - in advance.
