Kid friendly places to stay in Quito?

My husband and I are planning a trip to Quito for a month in Feb. unfortunately after your trip, so we won't be much help for you, but I would love to hear from your experience next month. We are staying in a Northern suburb with our 2 year old as it is purported to be safer and then will do day trips around Quito. We are actually staying with a family, but I know many of the larger hotels have kid-friendly amenities.

I'll keep my eyes peeled... I'd love to hear about what you find and about your trip after your return.
