Hi All!
I have been to Ecuador several times, love this country. Been spending most time hiking in Central Sierra.

We are looking to return in September and would like to hike in jungles around Macas and visit a Shuar village. Time will be limited as we also want to trek in Sangay National Park on the way to Macas hence these questions:

  1. Any reputable outfit you'd recommend to organize a jungle trekking/ Shuar village visit?
  2. What is a minimal number of day required for such a trip? E.g., is it possible to, say, do a day hike from Macas to a Shuar village, spend their an evening/night/morning, and hike back making it 2 full days? Or 3-4 days are a must?

Many thanks!
