My husband & I are travelling to Ecuador mid January to mid March 2015 and would like to end our trip staying on a beach for a couple of weeks. Most of the beaches I have read about are suitable for surfing and there are warnings about rip tides. We are looking for a beach that is safe to swim in. We would prefer to stay near but not necessary right on the beach i.e. we would like to walk to the beach from our room. Also we're not into late night partying. Does anyone have any recommendations for us? Suggestions appreciated.

I think Salinas has a good beach that is safe to swim in.
