any danger of malaria in colombia in tourist areas?

Hey everyone,
I want to visit colombia in November, but I'm wondering if there'll be any difference in weather/climate if I wait until December?
Does the weather, especially at teh beaches, generally get better in December?

Hi there, we are literally about to buy plane tickets from Leticia to Bogota but just want to check if any can confirm: do New Zealanders need Tourist Cards from the Colombian Consular before leaving Leticia? It's a holiday here and the airport is closed as well so couldnt confirm anything but would like to buy tickets on the net tonight.

1) Production of documents - I usually keep my passport hidden and provide a notarized copy of the photo & signature pages (as in most Latin American countries I have visited, one's documents must be produced to the authorities on demand), and no one ever had a problem with this to date.

Leave in 2 weeks to go to SA, can't wait. My return flight is from Sydney to Buenos Aires, but I am going to travel all the way up to Cartagena, What is the cheapest airline that flies back to BA? I have seen $987 aud, expedia.

Can anybody recommend any language schools in Medellin and Cartagena aside from Nueva Lengua? A fortnight course at a university would be ideal, however my visit falls outside EAFIT's courses. NL are over my budget.
