Hey y'all,
Gonna be in Bogota for a few days and wanted to check out some record stores in the city. Looking for stores that sell new and used vinyl of music from Colombia or South America in general. If anyone has a favorite - please feel free to share :)

Hello, We are planning to do the Lost City Hike in Colombia in 4 days/3 nights. However, someone has told us this is too short a time. I would love to hear comments, experiences etc.

Hello!

My boyfriend and I are flying in and out of Bogotá later this month and because of airline issues, we now have 2 extra days-totaling 13. Our original plan was to fly in, have a little over a day in Bogotá, fly to Cartagena for 2 days there, then head to Tayrona for 2 days, Minca for 2 days, Medellín for 2 days, and ending with another day in Bogotá. It's a lot of moving around, so I'm torn between adding an extra day to Medellín and an extra day to Tayrona/that area, or adding both extra…

Hi All,

What's the best way to get from Pereira to Rio Claro? I think I will need to take a bus to Medellin and then a bus/van/colectivo(?) toward Bogota and get off at entrada de la reserva Rio Claro. I looked at a map and Google something about Pereira to Honda to La Dorada but this route seems less traveled. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Elyse

Hi everyone, I'm heading to Colombia soon and have learned a lot from reading this forum, and also from Thomas's website!

My first question is about beaches and snorkeling.

I plan to spend 4-5 days on the beach in late November and am torn about whether to go to the Tayrona/Minca/Palomino area, OR to an area that has great snorkeling.

From what I've read it looks like maybe San Andres and Providencia have the best? How does it compare on the other islands? (Islas de San Bernardo, for…

A heads up that protests by campesinos and indigenous groups in Colombia have currently blocked several major roads including the road between Cali and Popayan. This means it's not currently possible to travel south to the Ipiales/Tulcan border crossing from anywhere north of Popayan and vice versa. Buses aren't running and flights are hard to come by.

We have about three weeks in Colombia in December. The plan is to spend 3-4 days in Bogota (with one excursion out of the city), then fly to Armenia and go on to Salento for 4 nights, then fly in the morning back to Bogota and on to the bus station and on to Villa de Leyva by bus, all in one day. Then after Villa de Leyva we would take a bus back to Bogota, get to the airport, and fly to Cartagena in the late afternoon. We have to get to Cartagena that night because we have a speedboat the…

Anyone been to Rio Claro recently? I was wondering how the rain has affected the river, is it still clear/pretty/worth going to? I live in Pereira and am looking for something to do over a puente (3 day weekend).

Thanks!
