Hi, I like to stay with some friends a week in Cartagena and after two days city tour, we would like to spend 3-4 days on a nice beach close to cartagena. I found many very expensive offers on the Islands, they are more expensive then here in Germany.

if youre looking for a nice hostel and an alternative to what lonely planet (sue, platypus, etc.) is saying, try the Fatima which is 2 blocks from sue and platypus. if youre looking for some nice athmosphere and weekends some cool rumba in the living room, choose that one.

Has anyone (non-Colombian) recently booked (and paid) on-line for a flight on the Aero Republica website. I need to get from Leticia to Bogota on May 24 and it seems they are the only company that does that route. I have a seat reserved (until May 19) at an office of Copa Airlines but the price is $240. Here's the deal, my girlfriend and I have opened La Casa Amarilla in Mompox (or Mompos) a town several hours inland from Cartagena. While we plan to run the place for the most part we also need to be elsewhere in order to keep things going.
