hi everyone,

im in cali about to embark on a month long salsa course. im going to be in class 4 hours a day so the weekends are really the only times i would have free. does anyone have any suggestions as what to do? any day trips/weekend trips to little places nearby?

any help would be appreciated.

Sorry Dibs, but there's pretty much bugger all around (or in) Cali. You could do the "Eje Cafetero" though (3 hours away), and Popayan (2 hours - but there's not much to do there). Bogota with night buses. If you have the budget to fly, you can go to Gorgona, Tayrona, San Andres - all OK (if a bit tight) if you can take a 3-day long weekend.

Popayan and Coffee region come to mind. Lots of things to do around there.
