Hi!! I recommend "Sol de la Villa" in Villa de Leyva. It is located 1 block from the main square. Rooms have TV and hot water. Breakfast is included. I don´t remember the exact price, but I stayed there last february and it was quite cheap. Exact address: Carrera 8ª No.12-28 Transversal 10 No. 7-91 Phone # 098-7320224. Villa de Leyva is full if little hotels, bead and breakfasts, etc. You could just arrive there and look for the place you like the most. Just don´t go during the weekend... it´s too crowded and you won´t find a place to sleep without a reservation.

I stayed at Hotel Posada San Martin. $70000 pesos (=30 USD). Good location, just a block away from the main square. Rooms are ok. The owner is very friendly and offers a good breakfast. They have only 5 rooms.

I've only been through Tunja on the bus, and it looked horrible. But anyway, there are loads of budget hotels in Villa La Leyva. I went there on a long-weekend and there were rooms available then. Cheapest we saw was 40,000 a night, we stayed in a reasonable place for 70,000.

Tunja has a nice center, old churches, colonial art. It is cold, but I find that better than the climate say in Cartagena. A question of taste. Tunja is more "real". Villa de Leyva is such a tourist trap. Nice but somehow fake.
