My wife is a Colombian national, she is also Bi-polar and takes lithium to help her mood stable. We had just arrived in Tijuana when she realised we forgot her lithium back in Medellin
We immediately booked a flight back that left the next day. For some reason viva aerobus refused to let us board stating that in the system, it showed no destination for either of us... Sadly we didn't have enough money buy another pair of last minute tickets back home so we had to wait a week for the refunds to hit our account. We arrived in Bogota after a peaceful flight and my wife was in generally great mood. When we gpt the immigration counter the officer stamped my passport and then my wife said something in Spanish (I don't speak any Spanish). All of a sudden I'm being dragged to a cell where I was kept for 7 hours before I found oit my wife had been upset with me about something and without having her medication to help her think clearly, she decided to tell them that we got into a fight on the airplane.....which never happened and of course no witnesses of any sort. They refused me entry into the country, forced me to buy a ticket to Mexico city, and told me I could never come back. My wife came to her senses almost immediately after but they refused to listen to her thinking I was somehow forcing her to recant. So here I sit in mexico city, while my wife, daughter, home, job, and life are back in colombia. Now I am looking for answers to a few specific questions. 1st, is there any entry point on the border that does not SCAN passports (as in, just stamps and let's you go)? 2ñd, if not, are there any part of the border where one can pass without being forced to stop and have passport scanned (yes I know it's a federal crime in CO to not have an entry stamp. Please no lectures, our lawyer is working on it but I can't be this far from my life and family for a month or more)? #3 Ia there any way I can get home that anyone knows of ?

Wow man this has to be the strangest post I've ever seen, and sorry to hear your ordeal, but I'm also quite sure we're not getting the full story here, and this is not the place either, it's a travel forum. Do you think any immigration point would not screen people who are banned from the country? Of course they all do. Even if you did enter with a bribe or sneaked across the border you would not be able to get out, and could face very serious consequences in the future for illegal entry including jail. You're going to have to sort this out legally. It's good that you have a lawyer. Good luck.

I think we have a winner. I thought the chap asking how to dry clothes was inspired but despite it's lack of subtlety, I think this one wins for the breatlesss tone and fantastical quality.

Presumably, in addition to deporting you and barring you from return, solely on your wife's say so, a lone immigration official also invalidated your resident's status? Something you would surely require for your job, home and life to be in Colombia?

Now you want advice on how to illegally enter the country?

A good effort but needs more work on the back story.

6/10.
