Hi

We know that we can go to DAS and get an extra 30 day extension for our visas for Colombia but wish to know if it is also possible to do a border run, ie. go out of the country for a day and come back in and then get another 60 days. Or do we have to stay out for a certain length of time before re-entering?

Thanks in advance

You can stay up to 6 month in one Year (Calender) in Columbia.
At the Border you can get a Visa up to 90 days (with a good explanation you should get it).

It works to leave the country and get a new visa afterwords...

You can just leave for 24 hours and come back in & get another 60 days. We just did it, exiting from Capurgana to Puerto Obladia in Panama, and back again by boat next morning. No problems, DAS in Capurgana just stamped us back in for 60 days -- may be different at other crossings.
