Hi- I may well do this route, if I don't take the plane because of time constraints. There is an identical thread over at poorbuthappy in the 'travel tips' forum. Not many replies yet but just in case you wanted to keep an eye on it.

being that most of the posters on PBH are 50 year old guys with 18 year old girfriends i dont like your chances at getting any decent responses there...

Did the opposite and had no problems, though the trip took longer than expected. There were some major traffic delays around the hill/mountain passes near Medellin due to what appeared to be fog at night.

I took a night bus from Medellin to TolĂș - and the bus then continued to Cartagena. I cost me about 65.000 with Rapido Ochoa and I did not have any problems at all, except for the super cold air condicioning on the bus at night. Do not forget to bring a coat and a blanket as the bus get very cold at night!
