I will travel to Bogota on March 8. I am going to stay three nights in Hotel San Sebastian in Candelaria. What is the nearest place from there to buy a bus ticket for Medellin? Where do the buses leave? I have heard that it might be possible to haggle over the price of bus ticket. Is that true? How much should I pay for Bogota-Medellin?
I'd be very thankful for all tips related to travelling in Bogota and anywhere in Colombia.

Go to the terminal in Bogota. It is very well organized departures are organzed according to region and direction so Medellin is north of Bogota so you should find departures in the norte departure section, or just ask anyone policia very helpful. Lots of transport to Medelllin, they even have departure screens that update and show current departures and arrivals just like at the airport. There are plenty of companies going to Medellin around 9 hrs should nt cost more than 40 000-50000 pesos. No need to buy in advance. Show up in morning and you will be in Medellin by the evening. At leas 1 departure per hr. You can haggle within in reason especially if another company is also departing. But you will only save a 2-3 thousand pesos but then again that is an almurezo, so haggle but be fair and realistic. It is good deal as is transport is cheap in terms of dollars or euros.
