Can anyone recommend a good centrally located hostel for P Natalies. I will arriving late afternoon before heading into TDP and need a stop over. May also stay for one night to recharge after TDP.

Any tips greatly appreciated.

I'm just wondering whether anyone can confirm that this rate is normal? I've seen so many places that the airfair is supposed to cost approximately $600, but I assume this is in the chilean currency? CLP or something?

Hi, I am thinking about spending Christmas in Argentina. I was wondering though if everything is shut there over Christmas. Can you still do all the touristy things there? Are people out and about or at home with families for the week. Are there still lively places to go out to?

the guides say it is $25 for the trip but they dont say how long it will take. I guess about 25h or so?

anybody knows any cheap way to fly there? they ask for US$335 in the LAN website which is a bit much and the Sky site is not working. Is it cheaper in travel agencies once in Arica or Iquique? going in november

In the second half of November of this year, we will be travelling to Chile.
During this trip we have exactly seven days to get to know the lake district of Chile, meaning the great surroundings of Osorno, Puerto Montt and Valdivia.

Can anyone help us with car hire in Puerto Natales for three or four days to go to Torres del Paine? So far our quotes appear to charge to bring a car up from Puenta Arenas. This of course costs exta. Is there a car rental place in Puerto Natales and do they have a web site?

okay, after 3 weeks of bolivian buses and the like my body hates me and i really really really want to find a good yoga studio here in santiago. any recommendations? i'm in providencia, so something closer than not would be good, and i like a bit more of an active practice..

Can anyone recommend a good Chinese restaurant in Santiago? I've eaten in five or six of them and they all serve the same crappy dishes (Chap Sui, Bif al Diente de Dragon, Arrodallos, y Carne Mongolia) that are totally dumbed-down and, quite frankly, terrible. I know that I'm a bit spoiled by having lived in Los Angeles and New York and having spent months traveling throughout Asia, but this is a joke. Are the owners of these places afraid that Chileans wouldn't eat something that tastes good?
