I am Flying to calama in a few days and would like to take a direct bus from there to uyuni because i am going to meet some friends there. From there we make the 3 days trip back to san pedro.

Does someone know a buscompany that runs busses between those places and does someone also know where i can find the timetables and where i can make a reservation.

I am wondering if anyone has some experience with the alternate start and end to the circuit described in the lonely planet guide: "Trekking the Patagonia Andes"

The alternate start is at Camping Las Torres, they describe it as a shortcut, and eliminates backtracking to see the lookout.

We arrive at Santiago International From Sydney (17 hours) @ 13.20 and our next flight is to Lima @ 20.05.

Can anyone advise on how to get a shower or a cheap local hotel we can get into for 4 hours for a sleep to pass the time. Perhaps it is possible to pay to go into the VIP lounges at the airport?

I was able to buy tickets from Sky Airline via their website, despite them saying you needs to be in Chile and my CC address in USA.
I can see charge been made to my CC.

I am planning to spend a few days hiking around TPD in November but am not sure if I want to spend 4-5 days on the W trek.

Does anyone recommend any must-see highlights that can be covered in 2, 3 or 4 days? I love taking photos so I prefer scenic spots to the "challenge of trekking" and I don't mind (and might even prefer) breaking up the trek with a ferry trip in between. I am a novice at this and have not been very successful in my research so I would greatly appreciate any help.
