My friend and I are doing the W trek in March 2015(17th Mar-21st Mar). After this trek, we are heading to Ushuaia for Antartica cruise. Well, we are wondering if there's any direct bus goes to Ushuaia late summer. I was told that there is a direct bus goes to Ushuaia except Sunday, is that truth? If so, what is the departure time?
Is it possible to buy the bus tickets from Puerto Natales to Ushuaia online in advance? I emailed the hostel El Patagonico twice…

I want to highly recommend Cabanas Palafito Cheve where we stayed in Castro. All of the Palafitos are being bought up by folks from Santiago or international. These are locally owned Cabanas built in the place where Violeta Llancabure (owner) grew up. Spanish spoken only. The cabanas have kitchens, living room, loft plus bedroom. They are Palafitos so they are right on the water. The price when we stayed was 30.000 pesos per night... a bargain!

We're looking to travel from Puerto Williams to Ushuaia on Saturday January 3rd after doing the Dientes de Navarino trek. I'm finding it difficult to get current and accurate information on the status of Ushuaia Boating or the Fernandez Campbell boat options.

I am in a group of 5 people traveling to Santiago and then on to Punta Arenas, and then Puerto Natales with the main destination being Torres del Paine to trek the circuit. We are going January 13th. Our plan is to travel as inexpensively as possible, and we are bringing all of our camping gear with us. Since we will have all of the gear, I am curious if there are areas/parks/places to camp (tent camping) in either Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales and how expensive it is. I am having a hard time…

Also, I don´t want to carry too much, but pack the most important things into a 35-40 litres backpack for the 4 hiking days. Does that sound realistic for Torres del Paine, considering that I want to stay in lodges? I am hoping to get some accommodation recommendations for Santiago that are not too far from the bus station. Our budget is about $50 to $80 US a night. Ideally, it would be a place where we could leave our bike boxes while we are cycling in the Lake District. Hostals are ok, but it would need to be a private room. Admittedly, I find trying to sort through TripAdvisor too taxing :)
