We have a day to do some wine tasting and were wondering if it is best to drive from Santiago to Valparaiso and stop at some wineries on the way or is it better to try and go down Colchagua Valley do some wine tasting and then make the trek to Valparaiso. We only have a day and a half and I am not sure the later is doable.

Also does anyone have any vinyard recommendations for the Casablanca Valley?

Given the time restrictions the Casablanca Valley, between Santiago and Valparaiso, is the best alternative. There are a number of wineries and although Casablanca only produces whites, most also have vineyards in Colchagua and so offer both for tasting.

Good thoughts. Any specific wineries that are worth visiting?
