im thinking about spending time in chile in my gap year (08/09) but as yet have been unable to find anyone to go with. id mostly be trekking in the lake districts and in torres del paine, obviously visiting the main cities/towns on the way. Will also be visiting la paz and lake titicaca after chile. if anyone is thinking of going, sort of january 09 onwards, it'd be cool if you got in touch. Even if you dont want to do a joint trip, id still appreciate having a like minded traveller with whom to run my ideas by as ive got no idea where to start planning,

I just wanted to tell you that a lot of the hastels will boom with people that have some of the same plans.My best travel experience has been when i GO ALONE BUT JOIN UP WITH PEOPLE ON THE SPOT! The world is so full of great people, so the key is often to have time to hang around the area long anough to gang up with someone or make a little group...go for a hostel with a shared area, so people socialize.
