Hi all,

We are planning to visit Chili next May. We would like to go from Santiago to San Pedro de Attacama (where we wanna take the 4WD into Bolivia to Uyuni).

What is the best way to travel from Santiago to San Pedro de Attacama? First we wanna take the bus (1,5u) to Vaparaiso, stay there 1 night, then maybe La Serena? We would like to take this tour in like 3 or 4 days? So do you guys have tips where it is nice to spend the night and what kind of transport we need to take?

Renting a car is not a good option because of the on-way-fee, we are leaving from Lima later.

Thank you!

Greetings,
Jeroen

And the buses in Chile are quite nice too - go for a full cama and you can lie flat in the bus: http://2britsabroad.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/the-big-fat-guide-to-south-american-bus.html
