Does anyone know of any good local tour operators that do up to a 7 day trek round Torres del Paine National Park in the last week of March? Or perhaps any other way of getting round the national Parks of Chile as an independent traveller?

sorry, i don´t know any guides. But I did the ´w´¨ walk at Torres a few weeks ago without a guide. the paths are very well marked and ( not sure about in march) there are lots of people doing the walk and rangers around. At the entrance the park ranger office will give you a good enough map and u can ask them the prices of campsites/ refuges ect. I think it would be very difficult to get lost. If you like camping, I would recommmend the top campsites to get away from the winds and the numbers of people, though this does mean you will need to carry ur backpack all the way with you. Its worth camping at refuge grey and walking up a further hr or so to the next view point which overlooks the glacier. The 'w' walk is about 5 days ( we took 7 days so we didn´t feel rushed and could rest or do extra bits when we wanted) and the circuit is about 10 days. The scenery is fantastic.
