Hi All,

As i'm sure you've seen, i've posted two other questions. I'm travelling by myself around Peru Chile and Argentina before I head back to London to start working and want to see as much as I can! I love backpacking and have done it across India.

I'm a bit confused as to how to explore Southern Chile. As I have limited time, with 5-6 days in Easter Island, and 3-4 days in Valparaiso, I'm wondering about the best way to do Sourthern Chile the neighbouring area of Argentina before I head up to Buenos Aires for a few days. I essentially have about 4 weeks, from the 20/21st December until the 18th December as I would like to keep a week of Buenos Aires.

I've read about buses from Santiago that pass through Argentina but I'm not sure if you get to see or explore much. Was hoping for suggestions on how i could plan my journey, maybe even tour buses if there are. I'd also appreciate suggestions on what is worth it and not.

Thanks
Rhea

Wow. so you found the deloreon to travel back in time!!

I assume you mean the 18th January.

You have a few options:
1. Travel down Chile to the lakes District and criss cross the border til you get to Ushuaia.
2. Fly down to Punta Arenas and work your way up to BsAs by bus.

oh wow! Yup i mean t 18th January. I'm planning so many things with so many dates at the same time! Though I do wish i had the ability to travel back in time.

Thanks for your suggestions. For the first suggestion, I'm assuming the best way to the lakes is to fly to Puerto Montt and then criss-cross with various buses?

Thanks
Rhea
