sorry... you're going by land from la paz to santiago then back up to la paz by air then ending up some other time in buenos aires?? do you have some particular need to go back to la paz from santiago? i think it would make a lot more sense to either go by bus or plane directly from santiago to buenos aires, or first south in chile to maybe cross into argentina at the lake district and further south through patagonia in argentina (bariloche-el calafate, for example) then back up to buenos aires by bus via puerto madryn, for example. i think a bus from el calafate to buenos aires on that route takes about 40 hours, just so you have an idea of the time involved. comfy buses with fully reclining seats and good movies, usually.

Hi there!!
BA is one of the tenth largest cities around the world, so there are a lot of thing to do and see. Full of nightlife (7 days a week!), bars, both historical and new neiberhood, its worth to get there at least 4 days. In June isn't the best time of the year to go Patagonia (I mean Ushuaia, Calafate and El Chalten) since some roads are close, maybe is better to go to Mendoza, Bariloche and Cordoba. Bariloche is the lake district, in Mendoza you'll find he best red wine and the Aconcagua mountain (the highest point in America); Cordoba is quiet with beautifully hills, mountains and very nicest places where to practice trekking.
I dont' know if you prefer hostels than hotels, if so I recomd you a cut, nice and value for many hostel in BA Extremo Sur check their
web site. You can find more here.
