Hi all,

Spending time in Argentina for a holiday and planning to spend a view days in Chile. First and most importantly, planning to star gaze in the Atacama desert, have looked at a few places to do this, any recommendations?

Completely blind around the region, planning to spend 2 - 3 nights there.

The final question is Santiago. For our return to BA, we can either spend 8 hours back into Salta and fly back to BA or fly to Santiago, stay overnight and onto BA. Someone at work told me to skip Santiago and spend the extra time in BA. I'm certain some of you will disagree! :)

Thanks in advance

There are numerous agencies in San Pedro de Atacama that offer Star Gazing tours. Walk around the streets, and seek out your options. A few agencies offer 'specials' e.g. buy 4 of our tours get one free etc. Lots out there. If you want too skip the star gazing tours, grab a car and head out of town.

Thats up to you. I don't think a day is really worth while. You'd need a few days really. But you can see a few things in a day.
