San Pedro Atacama - Uyuni

There have been a lot of posts recently by myself and others on this subject ...just do a search...but the short answer is ...we travelled with Pamela and some friends with Estrella ...both were ok

San Pedro has a lot of tour agents, but its a bit hard to recommend one, sometimes they will shuffle you around to fill up a vehicle. San Pedro is a nice chill out place, no problem staying there for a day or four. Uyuni is just a transfer town, stay there just long enough to move on. The 3 day salt flat tour is generally recommended, hire a sleeping bag if you don’t have one. The tour was one of the highlights of South America for us, Sure its a bit rugged, 6 backpackers with driver and cook squeezed into one 4WD, food basic, very limited English spoken by driver or cook, take a few pieces of fruit, some comfort food, a drink or two (although usually too tired for partying) and have plenty of memory in your camera.
