What I mean is, a friend and I would like to hike the full circuit trek in February and my sister is thinking of joining us but she doesn't have as much time as us. I can't figure it out - is it possible to start the circuit and W treks at the same time following the same itinerary until the W trek ends (and she leaves whilst we continue to finish the circuit) or does the circuit trek have to start in a different place? Thanks in advance for any help.

One way you can do it is to start the 'w' from the east side, at the towers, continue west, then complete the 'w' at grey glacier. From there she can return home while you continue around the top of the park to complete the circuit.
