Hi
I booked a last minute flight to Santiago (will reach there tonight)- staying 5 nights until Friday afternoon. Ive only booked accommodation until Tuesday.
I'd love to do some day hikes around Santiago - e.g El Morado,Cerro Ramon, Cajon del Maipu.

Can anyone recommend wheter its possible for me to stay at a lodge (not to expensive) for one or2 nights where I can hike on my own to somewhere nicnice, and travel there with public transport?
Anyone else planning to do day hikes this week that I can join?
Suggestion on day hikes from Santiago (with affordable operators, below usd130 for a,hike)?

I did the W-trek in Torres Del Paine, Patagonia solo last year - was awesome. Hoping I can find something nice around Santiago

Reserva Yerba Loca, very close to Santiago. But you can't reach the end ( and most beautiful) in a day, you would need to camp.
Cerro La Campana.
For a multiday, camping hike, the best would be the Reserva Altos de Lircay, near Talca.
