Hi all,

Currently 2/3rds of the way through an incredible time in SA and have seemingly got a little stuck.

Right now we are staying in Futaleufu and are looking to get to Torres Del Paine.
Does anyone have any experience of this journey? We've been told that Coyhaique may be of some help but are struggling to find a bus there. Ideally we'd be looking at buses but we'd be open to other options if they aren't too much more expensive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Mark

No possible at this time reach TDP by bus, unless you have time, money and patience to do a loooong loop by Bariloche-Comodoro-Gallegos-Punta Arenas-Natales, think in 4 days
the wise way (money, time, confort) is a flight Sky Puerto Montt-Punta Arenas

Continuing your way by land will be very long, so have you got time ?

There used to be a minibus (not every day) from Futaleufu to Coyhaique. ??? Otherwise there is a minibus to Villa Santa Lucia (and from there to Coyhaique ???).
You can try hitch hiking.

From Coyhaique, you can go to Chile Chico, Los Antiguos where you have busses through Argentina.

There used to be flights Balmaceda Punta Arenas, but I've read in forums that they would not exist anymore.

My partner is Chilean and lived near (6hr further south!) from Coyhaique. He says you can take a bus Coyhaique to Punta Arenas or maybe even Puerto Natales (Torre del Paine)further 4 hours from PArenas. Should take a day on the bus and be around 50 dollars. Or there's flights from Puerto Montt to Punta Arenas if budget allows. Good luck!

in this moment I never heard of a bus Coyhaique-Punta Arenas or Natales. there was about 5 years ago a bus of this sort (Bus Sur) but not now. the only alternative is a bus Coyhaique-Comodoro (10 hours) overnight in Comodoro, other bus Comodoro-Gallegos (8 hours) and then other bus Gallegos P. Arenas (7 hours)
in summer there is a 2-3 days bus Los Antiguos-Calafate but then other bus Calafate-Natales
as Sky stops flights Coyhaique-P. Arenas, the only alternative is Sky Puerto Montt-P.Arenas
There are buses P- Montt-P. Arenas (3 lines) but the cost is similar to a flight but being a 30 hours ride in a non-sleeper coach
