This evening Calbuco erupted, sending a massive cloud of ash and smoke into the air to a height of over 20 kms. Flights in/out of Puerto Montt are suspended. Contact your airline if you were planning to fly to PM in the next few days. Also keep an eye on flights into Bariloche.
