I'm currently planning a February trip to Patagonia for my parents (late 50s).
My dad would love to do a cruise of some sort, and as such, is very interested in doing the Navimag crossing between Pto Montt and Pto Natales, but my mum does NOT want to such an extended cruise, especially given the low probability of finding calm waters all the way down. I'm thus trying to find a compromise:

Could you recommend some shortish (2 days would be ideal length) cruise in Southern Patagonia, that feels like a real cruise, and takes you to see beautiful landscapes?

Bonus points if...
It's cheap (I'm rulling out Skorpios and Mare Australis right now)
It's relatively comfortable (seat would need to be at least semi-cama, but it would be better if there were beds)
The landscapes is breath-takingly beautiful
It feels like a "real" cruise, and not merely like a cargo boat.
It leaves from Punta Arenas or Pto Natales, and there's an easy (and cheapish) way back to departure point

So far, my best lead is the ferry that goes from Pta Arenas to Pto Williams, but not sure how comfortable it is, and if the landscape makes the trip worthwhile.
I'm open to suggestions! Thanks in advance!

Hard conditions, Andreanne, but as you parents are arriving in February, there is time for a research. Some hints until now, the ferry P.Arenas Williams has semi cama seats and -according to some users- better scenery (Beagle glaciers) at the return trip (Wi--PA) ,but must consider the westerly winds in some parts of the track (Cockburn pass) . Info www.tabsa.cl<BR>I knew that Alejandrina Ferry was improved in passenger confort, this ferry do a colorful track along the fjords from Puerto Chacabuco to Quellon, doind several stops attending the settlers. This ferry is run by Navimag but it no advertised in the web site better send a mail or ask in Navimag office at Santiago
Some operators do small trips (one to three days) in Chiloe islands and fjords at mainland Chiloe, the search can be do in any of tourism site as gochile, visit-chile and so

any additional info I will send a PM

when you say 'Southern Patagonia', are you just sticking to Chile? The 2 day Marpatag cruise of Lago Argentina (El Calafate) in Argentina is amazing. If you want more details then send a PM. Obviously if you really want one from P.A or P.N. then this wont really be suitable!

AnnaMike - yes, we're limited to Chile (principally because of time limits, and longuish distances between places).

Fernando, many thanks. I'll definitely research your options. Cruises around Chiloe would be good, as I'm making them go there for a couple of days.
Any other suggestions, keep them coming. Again, many thanks.
