We will be arriving in Patagonia early in December from Buenos Aries. We have to be in Santiago by December 20th and were wondering what the bus service is like from Patagonia to Santiago (assuming there is one)? We have heard that public transport gets pretty booked up in December so suggestions of when we should book would be very useful. Also how long is the journey and what will it cost?

Patagonia is a big area. You should name the cities you plan to visit. Puerto Montt-Santiago takes 14 hours. Punta Arenas-Santiago takes 50 hours.
