Hello,
I rent furnished apartments with kitchen in a residential village at the city of Imbassai, located 63 km north of Salvador – BAHIA – BRAZIL. It’s a very small city with unpaved roads, quiet beaches, river, bars & restaurants and markets.
It stays only 10 km from the well known ecotouristic destination of Praia do Forte. I can pick up at the airport, excursion to salvador, canoe trip on river, fishing trip to itacaré and discover the north litoral.
All best

Hello, Im in Sao Paulo right now and was looking into info at the SP bus station on getting to Floripa. As I dont speak Portuguese and they couldnt understand my bad spanish I couldnt find the direct info on getting to Floripa.
Are there a few different companies which go there? It seems that there usually is only one bus company going to certain destinations which I find wierd and very monopolizing.
If there are a few diff companies, are there cheaper ones which I should know about?
And can you…
Hi,
I will be travelling to Sao Paolo for work mid-Aug. I could get 3 days more to see some of the country.
Just 3 days and a shoestring budget (office wont pay for my sight-seeing stay).
Any ideas on what are must see- must do things in and around Sao Paolo?
This is my first visit to that country.

The news has just reported an extortion attempt made by the Policia Militar on two US tourists, in Rio for the Pan games. Unfortunately for the cops, their victims turned out to be two San Francisco Policemen......... oops
Hey,
please somebody tell me about the weather in Florianopolis.
I am planning to get out of Santiago, where I am curently living and considering Florianopolis because I've heard it's hot all year. I will be leaving in a week or so.
But what do your guys say? Is it hot like beach-hot or more like wear-a-sweater-chilly? Is there anywhere in Brasil this time of year that feels a bit like summer?
Thank you guys!
Safe travels
Miri
HI,
We are trying to book flights from Rio to Iguacu for the end of August but they are working out very expensive with TAM and VOEGOL, approx. R$1800 for 2 people return. Is this normal or is there any possibility of getting cheaper flights around this time??
Thanks
Hello,
Was looking at the Backpackers Sharehouse in Floripa....it looked like it was about 25 to 30 reals per night. I was just in itacare and the hostels were about the same but since it was low season I was able to get a great deal on a really nice single hotel room for only 20 Reals per night.
I hear it is super quiet in Floripa now....any chance you know of any really cheap hostels or single rooms or apartments?
Thanks,
Micah
Hi I recently had a fantastic experience with Cangaceiro tours in Salvador which I thought I should share with you all. Lampiao and his team were really professional. They took us on a night time tour of some really interesting places like the Ladeira de Montanha and the area behind the market at Sao Joaquim . The guys we were with really seemed to know a lot about the armed robbery and prostitution scene in the Cidade Baixa and what they didn't know about the effective use of duct tape and rope…
My name is Peter and I am from Holland,I went on a trip with Eco Planet to the Mamori Lake and i must say what an adventure it was.The guides knew a lot about the medicinal plants, the animals and the ecosystem. They did their best tho show the life in the Amazon by canoeing up the creeks even in the night. It was an experience that cannot be sold by a narrator, you have to feel it for your self.I must take my hat off to Jessica who was very honest, she delivered what she had promised, also…
