After the World Cup in July I will be visiting South America. Does anyone have any information on travelling from rio to iguazu falls then iguazu falls to bolivia, through bolivia to Peru? I am open to buses and flights.
Would really appreciate advice,

Hi,

Is there anywhere in Fortaleza I can buy a Uk to Brazilian three-pronged plug adapter (the kind with the six sides)?

Although my regular adapter works in the hotel, it would be immensely useful to have the other kind, too - I would have brought from the uk but was given poor advice, hence turning to this forum.

Even if someone could suggest somewhere online I could buy one, that would be hugely helpful. The quicker I can get one the better, else I'll have to shell out for one being…

Hello,

My wife and I are going to be in Sao Paulo for five days in July. We have heard from some people to get out of SP as quick as possible. We are excited to spend some time there, but realize that 5 days may be too much, or atleast a missed opportunity to see some other things.

We were considering flying to Florianopolis for two nights, but have heard that it is "too cold" which really means its in the 50's or 60's F. Maybe not ideal beach weather, but still nice for walking around. We…

Hi Guys

Im looking for some itinerary and general advice for my first time on travelling Brazil/Argentina.

Me and my boyfriend 24/29 are going to fly to Rio in November and stay roughly 6 Weeks.
This will be his first time ever travelling and my second (South East Asia)

Im looking for itinerary ideas for the time there.

My must dos are the usual: Rio, Ilha Grande, Iguazu falls, Paraty and ideally I would love to do a short stay in Manaus for a jungle trip (only for a day or 2 as this…

We ll be in Brazil for 3 weeks in September; with a friend, we plan to go to Rio - Ouro Preto - Salvador - Sao Paulo- Campo Grande - Bonito - back to Campo Grande - Ila Grande (via Rio). 1. Do you think it is realistic in 3 weeks (we will mainly travel by local bus and 2 flights Salvador/Sao Paulo and Campo Grande/Rio)? 2. What do you think about Bonito? all our itinary is around it, it appears to be a beautiful place, but i am wondering if it deserves all this road, is it very touristic? can we…

Hi, Anyone knows how to go about buying the tickets online, for non-Brazilians?
I tried using this website but it keeps asking me for CPF number in order to register. Can a foreigner purchase the tickets online?

Greetings! Has anyone done the camping option 2.5 hours upriver from Porto Jofre when traveling with Julinho of Pantanal Trackers? Did you see things there, and on the way, that you didn't see anywhere else? We have a week with him, so I'm sure we will see quite a bit, can't decide if the extra travel time on the river is worthwhile, or if we should just stay in Porto Jofre. Thanks a lot.

I made a mistake a few months ago and booked a flight arriving at GRU and leaving from VCP in Sao Paulo. I have 10 hours to make the transfer but I'm not sure how to.
Are there any buses available or would I have to try my luck with a taxi when I arrive?

Thanks,
Rahim

Was out at Post 3 in Copacabana last night and folks were enraged that FIFA is somehow shutting down events like this due to having trademarked the term "pagode." (yes... they sure did). The implications aren't clear and nobody really knows what trademarking "pagode" really means – would love to see them try to do it to "blues" or "boogie-woogie" in the US – but for the moment it is generating an enormous amount of ill will, on top of the organization's already profound unpopularity in the…
