Well maybe it will give you a point of empathy with prospective Brazilian visitors to Australia who are required to get a health check at hugely inflated rates from the Australian Embassy's nominated doctor, a specialist in reproductive medicine.

Or you might want to consider the fact that a few short years ago it was nigh impossible to get a trans-pacific airfare for less than $2000 and more usually it was $2,500 or more. These days it's common to see fares between $1,110 and $1,500. If an extra $100 or so is a barrier to travel then you really should reconsider the whole thing.
