None necessary for that trip.

Yellow Fever for some areas of the Pantanal.

Malaria for only the most remote areas of the Amazon.

Hep B is good for dicey living in many poor areas of the world...

i've been there and i needed vacinations, however i don't know which ones they were but the easiest way for you to find out is go to the doctors and tell them where you're going and ask them if you need a vaccination and if you do they will give you one.

it's as simple as that

I didn´t take any, except yellow fever for the Amazon and I am still alive after being there more than 8 months.

It's an entry requirement to have a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate, although they don't always check.

You are asking anonymous posters for medical advice? Legal, investment and personal realtionship advice, perhaps (I have got some sure-bed stock tips, plus some guys in Nigeria who just want me to receive bankt transfers and will give me a cut), but medical advice? I should suggest hepatitis as one innoculation, but I am not a doctor, either. You could check www.cdc.gov (traveler's health section).

This isnt medical advice, relax buddy. I wanted to know who got vaccinations depending on where they went. Travel clinics will always reccommend a vaccination for every disease and illness they can find cause they make good bloody money.

I've been to Brazil so many times from UK (entering at Rio, SP or Salvador, & travelling around the N.East) that I've got a resident's card. Never had an injection for anything, never been asked if I had one, never caught anything. You don't need anything, & won't be asked for it, unless you're arriving from a Yellow Fever affected country (and the airline won't board you in the first place if you don't have the documentation). Obviously it's best to have anti Yellow Fever or malaria medication if you're going to somewhere infected in Brazil, but that doesn't include Rio, Salvador, or Iguacu. Bubbak makes the point that you shouldn't be seeking medical advice on a forum like this in any case , and furfooree points out that many professionals will try to sell you something you don't need anyway. Both are right!

P.S Just noticed you ARE furfooree, you've answered yr own question!

I'm with BubbaK on this one.

But heck two people have replied to say that they didn't get vaccinations and didn't get sick! If it worked for them then of course it'll work for you!

If you're thinking of making a decision on what vaccinations to get by asking this question then it IS medical advice.

another website to try is: netdoctor which is a little more specific about where the malaria risk is (brazil's a big country!).
