I'll be going to foz from Rio after the WC. I want to plan the schedule for there (arriving at midnight at the 16th), for both argentinian and brazilian side- how many days would you need for that?
from there I want to go and do a panatanal tour. I'm looking for recommended lodges\tour companies that can arrange for 3-4 days activities there (how much is enough?). Would be happy to get recommendations.

You can see the Brazil and Argentina sides in 1.5 days -- half day for the Brazilian side, and a full day on the Argentinean side. The Paudimar Hostel Campestre is very close to the Brazil side -- you can catch a bus there right to the falls, and they run a daily shuttle to the Argentina side. Very convenient.
I'd go to Cuiaba, the northern part of the Pantanal. Excellent wildlife. I went with Julinho Monteiro of Pantanal Trackers, but he is not a budget operation.
