Hi, i know this question has been posted several times, but couldn¨t find any relevant items in the last few pages - so bear with me and please help me out!!
We will soon travel to Manaus from Santiago. Have looked at a couple of tour operators websites for examples of jungle tours - not sure what we want to do as there are so many different types, other travellers have given us various accounts so a bit of help required!
Can people please share their experience of the jungle trips they have done and recommend any companies/specific trips which really get you in the jungle spirit!!?.
Also we will be arriving in manaus at 1.00am - so if anybody got a good recomendation of where to stay??

I had a great experience with a jungle trip i belive it was through geros tours its located inside the hotel 10 de julho on rua 10 de julho very original name for a hotel wonder where they came up with it?? anyways resonable priced and small groups diffrent packages to choose from. My trip was incrediblle first day boat and then trek into jungle stayed first night in the jungle in a spot we cleared. the guide prepared a meal that he caught on the way and we drank to many caprhinias. over the next couple of days there was time for boating, jungle walks visit to local stores and houses we also went to a rubber tree plantation and at night caught caymans and phirna fished in the mornings. the last night was the best after a long day we were asked if we wanted to go to a party we laughed and said sure thinking a party in the amazon maybe 10 people ....wrong biggest bash ive ever been to two hundred people easy tons of drinking food live bands and dancing till the sun came up. not sure if every trip could be that much fun but you never know.
