I arrive in SP on friday, 21:35.
What are the options to get to the rodoviaria? Need to catch a bus to Rio. prices? Schedules? safety?
Thanks!

I'm also planning on busing it between Salvador - Rio - Curitiba - Sao Paulo. Any advice on those routes?

I am flying into Salvador then traveling to Rio with a friend. She flies out of Rio and I want to go on to Curitiba then back to Sao Paulo where I will fly to Peru.

Thanks a billion!

Hi,
As of SP-Rio, take the bus that shuttles b/t the from air port to the Rodoviaria 30 minute ride. There are numerous departures between SP-Rio, every 15 minutes or so. You could be on a bus from SP-Rio by 11:30 pm and be in Rio de Janiero sipping a cafezinho by 7 am the next morning no stress, very safe. The cost about 15 USD or more, depending on your comfort level...enjoy

Hi,
There are many departures from Salvador-Rio, typically departing in the early morning or late evening. When you are in Salvador head to Travel Agents (agenica de viagens) many around the Pelorinho area , they will get you booked in advance on a comfortable (leito class) bus w/o much of cost above the ticket. The other option is you can head up to Rodoviaria and buy a ticket and spend the day at the mall across the street from the Rodoviaria great if you want AC and Western movies, and good cofee o/w not that culturally interesting.

From Curitiba there are many buses going to SP. You will not have to book in advance just show up and they will get you there. From Rio to Curitiba there are many departures, if you have the time consider going to florianopolis and over to Ilha Santa Catarina for few days really relaxing...enjoy
