Hey guys.... We are interested in booking an apartment in Copacabana with a company called "Accomodation in Rio". They want us to pay a deposit but we are not sure if they are legit... The names of the people who run it are Arno & Juliana. Website is www.accommodationinrio.net... We found them on Craigslist.org.... Please let us know of your experience with this company.... & any tips on how we can guarantee our money is safe..... Thanks

haven't heard of the company, but i did meet the owner of a hostel and apartment in the ipanema area in rio. his name is paulo celani. i contacted his company, justfly, about hang gliding originally, and then found out they offer accommodation as well. i had booked another place orginally, but after stopping by and checking out paulo's hostel, i decided to change. the other place was 55reals and this one was 30r for the walk in rate.
i stayed at the hostel for 2 days and was very happy with my choice. i also did my hang gliding with the owner and found him to be an outstanding guy.
this is the info he sent me about the apartment (i never saw the apt, but he sent me some pics and it looked nice)
"The apartment has one bedroom with one king size bed, one living room, fully equiped kitchen, airconditioning, cable tv, telephone, swimming pool, sauna and gym at the playground, etc... "
