Will spend a few days in Paraty in July. Any suggestions on things to do?

Also a few days in Iguassu. Would like to know if a visa is required to spend a day on the Argentina side of the Falls. (Checked the Argentina consulate and my nationality requires a visa but would require me to drive 5 hours one way to the embassy just to get a visa for the day!) Trying to figure out if I should go ahead and secure a visa. (Seems like a waste of time just to be able to spend a day in Argentina)

The visa law is not enforced if you do not go farther than Iguazu into Argentina.

In Paraty you can take a daytrip on the bay (about 5 hrs). Also you can go to Trindade beach. Stay overnight if you wish. Lots of pousadas. There is some smallish surf there.
