Does anyone have any experience of or advice about visiting the Barra Mansa in the Pantanal, the Bopdoquena, the Blue Lake cave in Bonito and scuba diving in the Abismo Anhumas?
We are planning this trip for August.
Thanks

I have been to the pantanal but dont recognise the name of that place.....
As to the blue lake cave in bonito. I would just buy the post card. It does look cool, but you can't even get that close to it, let alone get in/touch it. Also when i was there it was fairly low-lying, dry seaason. All the photo's people take of it are from an angle you not alowed down to. There are some large stalactitie/mites but you can look around it by yourself in about 5mins, the guide strecthes it out to about 15mins. It quite expensive to do.
However i would say bonito is good, expensive but definatly good. I would highly recommend floating down the Rio de Prata for the day. Truly astonishingly clear waters, lots of wildlife, and a 25% chance of seeing anaconda. Great day. Also afterwards visiting the big hole with the parrots around it (sorry cant remeber name) is a surprisingly cool.
All tours in bonito are very easy to arrange as they all charge exactly the same amount and use the same guides so it doesnt matter who you go. The only differnce is, if you are in a large group the transport becomes a bit cheaper.
