I am looking at booking an overland trip from Rio to Cusco for next year. I have found the trip I want to do with a few companies, such as Dragoman and Intrepid. Can anyone recommend a good company to use?
I have done an overland trip in Africa for 3 months and I really enjoy this style of travel, getting to meet lots of new people, travelling as a group, getting stuck in with 'chores' I think it all adds to the adventure. I know this might not be the cheapest way to travel as I have read a lot of reviews advising to travel solo and go it alone. If I had all the time in the world that is exactly what I would do but I only have 5 weeks so I want to do an overland trip to make the most of it and take the stress away from trying to figure out where to go next or how to get there, (I did this in South East Asia for 3 months)
I want to spend the majority of my time in the remote wilderness, bush camping and being at one with nature, which is why I think the overlanding trips are great for this, I think I would be a bit worried doing that by myself!
Any tips on best or worst tour companies would be great!!
