you can rent an apartment over on Ilha Santa Catarina, Barra Da Logoa is nice small fishing village near the beach, their are other options on the island, and you can get around easily on the local bus or taxi. inquire and the bus terminal on arrival if arriving by bus. As for nightlife probably pretty quiet on the island that time of year outside the weekends, but there will defintley be nightlife in Floripa., ask around people are very friendly really nice part of Brazil, there is also a youth hostel over in Floripa. that will know where to go on each night, it changes from night to night the place to go out and party, but rec. renting an apartment on the island it is really relaxing, nice beaches, ..enjoy

How is the weather this time a year? I'm thinking about going to Floripa in a week or so, from Santiago. Thanks for your help :)
