Flight from the UK to Salvador

Hi all,

Last year a friend of a friend flew from Manchester to Salvador return for 500 pounds. My boyfriend is looking to do the same, but all quotes we've had flying from Manchester or London have been around 700 pounds. I don't remember who she went through, but I remember she said it was through a holiday company, not a usual airline.

Anyone have any ideas? Of cheap flights, or who these 'holiday' bookers might be? I've looked at a few but their websites are not as clear as normal airlines.

Any help would be much appreciated.
