I'm trying, and struggling, to find information about 3 festivals in Brazil during Octoner & November 2014. Can anyone help please?
First is Cirio de Nazare in Belem. I've read that this is a procession taking place on the 2nd Sunday in October, but also that there is a second procession taking place on 30 October and maybe other events in between. Is any of this correct, is just the first procession really worth experiencing, any thoughts please?
Second is a music festival (FUM?) in Manuas in mid October. I can't find any info on this. Does anyone know the dates, type of music etc please?
Third is the '2nd carnival' in Recife in late October or early November. I've read it takes place over 4 days but can't find any more info. Does anyone know the dates, what sort of 'carnival' it is (eg what sort of events there are) please?
Finally. are there any other festivals anyone recommends during October or November please? I know of Oktoberfest in Bluemenau but that is likely too far south for me.
