Our trip ends soon in Sao Paulo and we will have lots of stuff like clothes and maybe a cooking set and a cd player to give away so does anyone know of a charity shop or something similar that we can donate them to?

We couldn't find one when we were there earlier but saw two in Rio so I guess they do exist in Brazil.

Cheers,

There's loads of homeless people downtown...............I'm sure they'd appreciate your stuff, without going through a middle man

You can donate your stuff to the Salvation Army (Exercito da Salvação) in São Paulo.
You call them and they collect everything (11) 5562 - 2285

Even the local church will do, especially if they have programs that help the homeless.

In Belem i donated a LA Lakers basketball singlet to the community which my auntie is a member of and they raffled it off and used the money to pay for food for the homeless.

Good luck

Thanks for all the responses. We'll end up going with one of those options.
