Hi -
A friend and I are travelling around Brazil next year, and hoping to be in Rio for the Carnaval. We know exactly what we want to do/where we want to go etc, but pretty limited with time. Anyway, we were wondering if it is necessary to go for the whole Carnaval, or would we be missing out if we only went for 2/3 days? Would the other tourist attractions still be open (Christ the Redeemer et al) during Carnaval period? Also - is it still easy enough to travel around during this period, in terms of getting buses or flights?
