Thats great Jorge, i suppose when i posted this question i was looking for responses regarding safety more than anything. Anybody have any personal experience in taking this route ? And before anyone posts saying that everywhere is potentially dangerous and that nowhere is really that safe please think about how stupid you sound everytime you do that. Im in Bolivia and have come from Peru and have taken nightbuses in both places. I just heard somewhere that this particularly route is pretty dangerous in terms of hijackings etc...And im looking for more information

Cheers !

I've taken this route with Crucero del Norte - was the best bus experience I had in South America. The price was slightly higher than other companies, but it included meals, drinks (including staff walking the aisles serving champagne and whisky) and a movie every so often. I didn't sense any real element of danger - generally the worrying moments are border crossings around Iguaçu. I sincerely don't think safety is a worry on this specific journey.
