Hi everyone,
I am traveling brazil and about four weeks from now I´ll be looking to fly to Manaus and spend 3-5 days in the Amazon. I would like to hear from people that have done such trips recently for advice and recommendations as to amazon tour agencies. Anyone been through lately?

go to Iguana tours (2 offices in Manaus) and ask to go to lake juma. this is the real Amazonia. its not for tourists seeking comfort and all the frills. most tour operators dont go down this far. you should pay around 150 reals per day. i spent 3 days/2 nights but i wish i spent more.
on the way you will visit the giant lilypads and the meeting of the waters, saving you time & money on a day trip to these sites.
