I am planning to join the 4 days Salar tour with Tupiza Tours and finishing in Uyuni. Has anyone joined the same tour in the past and could let me know what time they reached Uyuni so i could plan for my onward journey?

Im pretty pushed for time now. I have decided on all the things i want to do between now and time of leaving.

What do you think is the quickest way by bus to get back to lima straight after ive been to the salt flats?

Is there a way to enter chilie and shoot up the coast or should i go back via la paz cross the border and drop down to arequipa or tacana and shoot up the coast or just go via cusco again?

How quick do you think this journey can be made i dont mind (When needs must)…

to Peru, Chile etc..
If you have stayed anywhere and would recommend we would like to hear from you
La, Paz, Rurranebeque, Oruro (over carnival in Feb), Sucre, Potosi, Uyuni are the places we will be staying in.

I just want to let you all know that there is a great tour run by Deep Rainforest Tour Operator in La Paz and also a good way to get to the lowlands especially with flights being cancelled all the time.
Even when I got a "don't go" recommendation for the Boat to Rurrenbaque I managed to convince a group of frustrated mates that couldn't fly to Rurre ten days ago. The fellow traveller who told me not to take this tour, found the Tour too pricey. Finally we booked and had one of the best…

I am trying to squeeze in as much as possible in Bolivia and Peru over a three week holiday. I am hoping to travel from Uyuni to La Paz after the Salar Uyuni tour. I know i can either take an overnight bus directly to La Paz or train to Oruro onward to La Paz.
My questions really are:

1. What time is the night bus and will I be able to catch it after the tour (planning a 4 days Tupiza-Uyuni tour), and the company operating it?
2. Other than being a hub for the Salar, is there anything…

In Sucre - avoid Cruz De Popaya- bad administration, unorganised
- nice courtyard but they need to spend some money on maintainence of rooms, upkeep
- dirty, dusty rooms, bathrooms in rooms avoid (as they smell)
- they ask you to pay BEFORE you check in, then "forget" to mark down you have paid
- ask for a receipt (factura) and make sure you stand you ground if they say you need to double pay
- check the comments book in reception. Many comments about state of bathroom, double paying
- AVOID staying…
